HALLOWEEK 2026
Stripped reproductive rights. Denied care in ICE custody. Rampant malpractice in handling the bodies of our most vulnerable. In today’s America, the stakes of possessing a stigmatized body are life, death, or — if this year’s smash-hit Obsession is any indication — some horrifying liminal third space.
Body horror has long been a lens through which to examine the affliction of our mortality and inflictions of our society. It feels especially ripe this year, in GraveSite’s infancy, as we grow our body of work on death from nothing.
This Halloweek, we’re proud to bring you a corpus on the human corpse. Expect new drops here daily.

A VISUAL ESSAY
Coming later this week: GraveSite’s first interactive feature. By synthesizing data from 60,000 on-screen film deaths, plus perspectives from a professor of entertainment labor and one of Hollywood’s most prolific victims, journalist Josh Strupp found that killing — and dying — onscreen is big business for a privileged few, while those who put their bodies on the line for our viewing pleasure are also the likeliest to be erased from the narrative altogether.
